Worcester Eisenbrandt is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
What we have done
- Added descriptive text alternatives to project photographs.
- Structured every page with clear headings and page regions (header, main content, footer) so assistive technology can navigate them.
- Added a “Skip to content” link and made sure every link, button, and menu can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- Labeled icon-only controls, such as the menu button, and made generic links such as “Learn more” describe where they lead.
- Ensured buttons and text meet minimum color-contrast requirements.
- Labeled all contact form fields, marked required fields, and enabled browser autofill.
- Added a sitemap as a second way to find content.
Known limitations
Some content comes from third parties that we do not fully control, such as embedded Google Maps. These services may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Our address and directions are also available as text on the Contact Us page.
