CONSERVING ARTIFACTS OF ALL SIZES

Overview

Worcester Eisenbrandt has had a conservator on staff since 2007.   This has allowed us to more sensitively care for fragile building components, but also participate in the treatment of smaller sites, monuments, sculptures, and objects.  Trained and experienced in the treatment of a wide range of materials, our conservation staff is dedicated to using sensitive treatments and proven methods, whether addressing a museum object or a historic building.  And as WEI is faced with novel situations, they can collaborate on treatments with the tradesmen that address the singular nature of the site or material while adhering to the core principles of the tradition of preservation.

Choose WEI Restoration for your CONSERVATION PROJECT

There are several reasons why you should choose Worcester Eisenbrandt for your conservation needs in the DMV region:

Experience

The conservation staff at WEI have a wealth of practical experience on many types of historic sites and treating many types of materials. We are committed to working within the Secretary of the Interior’s Guidelines for the Treatment of Historic Properties, and the AIC’s Code of Ethics, and balancing the use of time-honored methods and materials with new and exciting scholarship and technologies that help us sensitively and effectively care for the many one-of-a-kind artifacts that we are responsible for.

Reputation

WEI takes our responsibility to every artifact – whether that’s a museum object or a 10-story building – very seriously, as well as recognizing our role in handing off treatment to the next generation.  Having been part of the history of the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington, the Peace Cross in Bladensburg, various National Cemetery monuments and ecclesiastical sanctuaries, our work is valued by the stewards of America’s historic objects and its built environment.

Customer Service

WEI is committed to providing our clients with exceptional customer service.  We understand that working on historic buildings, sites, and artifacts can be a complex process, which is why we work closely with our clients to make sure that we are meeting their needs and ensure they are informed and involved at each phase.  We pride ourselves on our transparent and collaborative approach, which ensures that our clients are fully engaged in the progress of their individual projects.
